Motorola Defy Defies the Elements

designed to be perfect for taking on long hikes, sailing trips or rock climbing because they can with stand drops, bashes and inadvertent underwater adventures that standard phones cannot.

This has been ideal for people who need to communicate while pursuing their outdoor hobbies. There has only been one problem with phones – they are usually very basic handsets. With monochrome displays that would not have looked out of place in the mid-90s and barebones features, these phones do not have much to offer hikers and sailing enthusiasts when they are not out pursuing their hobbies. Even when searching through all the phone deals that are online it can be hard to pick out a good rugged phone.

This is where the Motorola Defy is looking to buck the trend. This is a rugged phone with a rubbery shock resistant phone which still comes jam packed with features, including a spacious and colourful touch sensitive screen. The phone can also be held under water for about 10 minutes with no problems ensuing.

The phone can support over 32GB of storage space for music and entertainment, and features Motorola’s trusty Motoblur interface (running over Google Android). There is also full 3G and Wi-Fi support available. The beauty of this phone is the synergy between ruggedness and high end specs. Because of this blend however, the Defy may not be as rugged as some rugged phones already available. But consider this, it does offer orders of magnitude better experience than those other rugged phones while at the same time being a lot tougher than the standard top of the line phones on the market.
