Survivor reveals ex's mental struggles, murder confessions after horrific standoff

For the first time, a woman who was stabbed multiple times during a standoff is sharing her story.

Erica Hart was involved in an hours-long standoff on January 20th along with her three kids.

31-year-old Antonio Hart, now deceased, live-streamed the incident on Instagram.

In the live stream, the faint voice of Erica Hart can be heard. “I kept telling myself I have to control my bleeding because I’m not dying and leaving the kids behind," said Hart.

Hart says the ordeal started the night before when Antonio began plotting the couple's death.

“He was telling me like how we were gonna go. “Should we drive off a cliff? Should I have you tied to me," said Hart.

At one point, Erica Hart made a split-second decision.

“It’s now or never. And in my mind, I’m thinking, like me kids are in the other room sleep, and I didn’t want to leave them. But I’m just like if I don’t get out and get safe, like get to a house, I’m gonna die," said Hart. She jumped out of a second-story window, however, Antonio Hart jumped right behind her and dragged her back inside.

Erica says over the last year or so, Antonio has been dealing with mental health issues.

“I think for black men, they’re very stubborn with their mental health.”

Antonio Hart confessed to several murders during his livestream, calling himself Rambo or sometimes Big Rambo.

“Antonio Hart is a very loving person. He is the most loyal person you could ever meet. Rambo was evil. Rambo was angry," said Hart.

Erica says she asked Antonio several times to seek help for his mental health issues, but he never did.

One thing that weighed heavily on Antonio's mind, according to Erica, was the fact his childhood friend Sterlin Matthews is serving a 115-year sentence for a murder Antonio confessed to in the video.

“He’s always spoken on that situation that happened with Sterlin. Not a day goes past that he didn’t talk about Sterling," said Hart. Erica says as she lay on the floor bleeding and turning blue, Antonio Hart confessed to her.

“It was him. He had the hellraiser mask.

Charging documents show the killer of Daquan Burks on Halloween of 2010 was wearing a pinhead mask from the movie Hellraiser.

Sterlin Matthews has always maintained his innocence and his mother Taneeka Brogden testified in court that Sterlin was with her at a Halloween party on the night of the murder.

"It was just at that time there was a no snitch rule and Sterlin, he held his loyalty and took that charge," said Hart.

During his livestream, Antonio Hart expressed his regret for Sterlin Matthews taking a charge he says he is responsible for. “I feel bad, that hurt me to my heart. Sterlin Mac, dude doing a life sentence, behind his dog," said Hart.
